Testing Times: Online Learning Appraisal Gets ‘Thumbs Up’
Dec. 28, 2021Teachers, caregivers, and children have given a new online learning assessment tool the ‘thumbs up’. The Gamified Learning Measuring Tool, developed and tested by War Child, the Humanitarian Education Accelerator and New York University TIES, measures children’s learning abilities in maths and reading as well as their social and emotional learning skills.

Refugee Girls Report ‘Torture’ of Early Pregnancy Due to COVID School Closures
Nov. 25, 2021COVID-19 related lockdowns and school closures have denied a safe space to thousands of young women around the globe. A survey conducted among out-of-school girls in refugee settlements in Uganda showed a 22.5% increase in teenage pregnancies compared to last year.
