CHS Alliance
War Child is delighted to share that Lina Alhaj has been elected to the CHS Alliance Board, representing War Child in this important global space.

The CHS Alliance is a network of more than 280 organisations working to raise the standard of aid by placing people at the centre of humanitarian and development action.

Lina’s election to the Board reflects War Child’s continued commitment to the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability, and to ensuring that children, young people, and their communities are meaningfully included in decisions and actions that affect them.

In her role with War Child, Lina has contributed to strengthening accountability to affected populations, feedback and complaints mechanisms, participation, learning, and reporting. Her experience brings a practical field perspective to the CHS Alliance Board, particularly from contexts where safe, accessible, and responsive accountability systems are essential.

Through this role, Lina will contribute to wider sector discussions on quality, accountability, meaningful community engagement, and people-centred humanitarian action, alongside fellow Board members and the wider CHS Alliance community.
