War Child statement on magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Colombia

We are thinking of the people of Colombia following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Chocó province early yesterday morning local time.
Together with local partners, we have had long term programming in the province and also other areas nearby that have been affected.
We are thankful that our team and partners are safe, and our hearts are with the families and communities affected. Hundreds of people have been injured or killed, and others remain unaccounted for.
As the situation continues to unfold, we are assessing how we can best support response efforts and help meet the immediate and ongoing needs of children and families.
